After our family dentist retired, I had a toothache, so I was on the hunt for a new dentist in South Lake Tahoe. I noticed Nicole Gordon had high ratings so I set up an appointment there. Derek Appelblatt did an assessment and got me in without delay. I was impressed with the care & hygiene at the onset, but Derek’s level of skill and knowledge was far beyond my expectations. Not only is he meticulous, but he possesses an uncommon precision in the realm. After 3 years of extensive work I have not been disappointed. To note, I had a failed root canal and with his expertise in biomimetics and avant-garde adhesive skills, he was able to save my tooth without sending me for another expensive root canal that wouldn’t have been more effective. It’s been a year since he performed the adhesion, and it’s still solid. A shout out to the whole office and crew, you are appreciated. - 8/02/2024

For an experience that few look forward to, Dr. Appleblatt and his team make dental visits easy and smooth. From cleanings to fillings & crowns to insurance and billing, they are helpful and thorough. Dr. Appleblatt uses best practices and current techniques that make procedures easily tolerable, and his work lasts. I highly recommend this team to everyone. - 2/20/2024 

Amazing! They are prompt and office staff is wonderful! I cannot recommend them enough. They helped replace old veneers to perfection! Also, took time to look at the rest of my teeth and offered honest quotes and opinions compared to another office in Carson . They made me feel calm and secure. Dr. Appleblat is by far the best dentist I’ve ever seen. By far. He checked in to make sure I was okay, knew I had a huge dental fear and helped to alleviate that by explaining everything, helping to make informed decisions, friendly and painless. Not only did I get a great cleaning and some fillings meticulously and comfortably replaced, Kelly at the front desk is SO helpful, kind, and easy to coordinate. I moved to Tahoe from the Bay Area 2 years ago and was sad to leave my trusted dentist, but I am SO glad I found Dr. Appelblatt and his awesome team! I always feel a little anxious during dentist visits, but Dr. Appelblatt made me feel super comfortable during my recent procedure. I really appreciated that he kept me updated while doing my fillings and checked in to see how I was doing several times. He is friendly, knowledgeable, personable, and super cool! I've been getting my cleanings and dental work done with Kim, Dr. Gordon, and Dr. Appelblatt's and I have been very happy with the experience. Kim has been cleaning my teeth handling my X-rays for over 10 years now. Everyone has been very good at explaining what they are doing, showing me hi-def images, and laying out options for work to be scheduled. So, I would highly recommend East Peak Dental. - 6/20/2023 

I had searched long and hard for a solution to my worn-out, stained teeth. Dr. Appleblatt created a plan, and he and Jessie worked for many hours to give me a smile I am proud of. My new teeth (built from those aformentioned worn-out teeth) are far better than my original teeth, even when I was young!
